Electric Vehicles: Revolution or Red Herring? – You Decide…
Mallory Park Circuit, Leicestershire
Cenex will be presenting and exhibiting at DeMontford University's Electric Vehicle Demo Day at Mallory Park. The event will allow students and academics to find out whether we are on the brink of a completely new era of transport or whether it’s just a lot of fuss about nothing, as well as addressing the topical skills shortage identified in the Automotive sector.
Freight in the City
The one-day free-to-attend exhibition will showcase the latest vehicles, technology and equipment that enable urban deliveries to be made quietly, cleanly and safely.A series of seminars will run throughout the day highlighting developments in sustainable urban deliveries:
- The Clean Seminar Theatre will focus on air quality, emissions, reducing congestion, alternative fuels; consolidation centres; and shared-user networks
- The Quiet Seminar Theatre will focus on retiming deliveries, quiet equipment, real-life case studies of out-of-hours deliveries; getting the buy-in from local authorities; driver training and the PIEK scheme.
- The Safe Seminar Theatre will focus on cycle safety initiatives, the Safer Lorry Scheme, Clocs, vulnerable road user training for commercial vehicle drivers, and current initiatives and campaigns
Innovation Festival featuring Climate KIC
Cenex will be exhibiting at the Innovation Festival as the project lead for the Climate KIC InclusivEV project. The Innovation Festival will bring together the Climate KIC community to share learning and best practice and to recapture the shared mission of working together to shape the world's next green economy.
