SEAI is Ireland’s national sustainable energy authority. They work with householders, businesses, communities and government to create a cleaner energy future. The Irish government’s net zero transport strategy aims to halve transport-related emissions by 2030, increase the proportion of EVs in the car fleet to 30% by 2030 and net zero by 2050. Key challenges remain; fleets need support to transition to zero-emission vehicles, smart network standards must be aligned with best practices, and effective policies are required to encourage EV adoption and infrastructure development.

Following a procurement process, the SEAI appointed Cenex to their expert panels on low-emission transport, research on EVs and transport technologies, and smart networks analysis.
