Low Carbon Vehicle master class

One day intensive learning programme delivered by independent experts from Cenex, the UK’s premier not for profit centre of excellence in low carbon and fuel cell technologies.  The course can be tailored to meet your organisations specific needs and can be delivered at a venue of your choice.

This learning programme will enable participants to have a full understanding of current and future vehicle and infrastructure technology from hybrid to hydrogen, gas trucks to electric cars.  Existing and emerging policy and regulation issues will be covered including economic and health benefits of low carbon vehicles. Innovative technologies such as vehicle to grid, autonomous vehicles and smart mobility can also be included.  The course will also identify funding and procurement opportunities to support the transition to low carbon mobility.  Examples and case studies will be provided to demonstrate how others are saving money and cutting carbon using low carbon vehicles. A range of ultra-low carbon vehicles can be made available for participants.  This course is ideal for fleet managers, policy makers, sustainability staff and all those looking to reduce the cost and carbon intensity of their vehicles.

The first trial course was attended by 30 delegates holding senior positions in a variety of public and private organisations including:

Transport Scotland, Amey, British Gas, Bosch, Leeds, Sheffield, Bristol and Wolverhampton City Councils, Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership, Manchester University and Greenpeace.

The course was designed and developed with the support of the EU’s Climate KIC programme.
